1. Product description
An acrylic polyester surfacer used to fill P120 to P180 sanding scratch and rebuild the profile of a filled panel before it is sanded flat. Filler shaped with P80 is refined to P120 or P180 first, because coarser scratch is deeper than the sanded-back surfacer film and will telegraph through the finish. It is applied in two or three coats to a build that allows dry sanding back without cutting through, and it is the grade that takes the dry guide coat used to show up low spots and remaining scratch. Use it over Arcrefin PR 230 or directly over cured, sanded polyester filler.
2. Features
- High build: 60 to 120 µm dry in two or three coats
- Fills P120 to P180 sanding scratch
- Takes dry guide coat and dry sands at P400 to P600
- Low-bake cure of 30 to 40 min at 60 °C metal temperature
- Applied over Arcrefin PR 230 or directly over cured, sanded polyester filler
3. Recommended uses
Levelling filled and reshaped panels in bodyshop repair, over epoxy-primed metal, cured polyester filler and stopper, keyed aged paint, and plastic parts coated with Arcrefin PR 110 when flexibilising additive is used.
Substrates. Cured and sanded polyester filler and stopper, Arcrefin PR 230 primed metal, sound aged paint sanded to key, and plastic parts previously coated with Arcrefin PR 110 with flexibilising additive.

5. Application
| Parameter | Guidance |
|---|---|
| Surface preparation | Refine P80 filler scratch to P120 or P180, prime bare metal with Arcrefin PR 230, then degrease and dry |
| Mixing | By volume with the Arcrefin AN 220 hardener and Arcrefin AN 340 reducer grades matched to booth temperature, at the ratios on the label |
| Method | Spray gun, 1.6 to 1.8 mm fluid tip, two or three coats |
| Applied film | 60 to 120 µm dry, with 5 to 10 min flash between coats |
| Cure | 30 to 40 min at 60 °C metal temperature, or air-dry as stated on the label |
| Sanding | Apply dry guide coat, then dry sand P400 to P600 |
| Next coat | Arcrefin PS 220 sealer in the ground shade the colour formula calls for |
Process. Mix by volume with the Arcrefin AN 220 hardener and reducer. Apply two or three coats with a 1.6 to 1.8 mm tip to 60 to 120 µm dry, flashing 5 to 10 min between coats. Cure 30 to 40 min at 60 °C metal temperature or air-dry per the data sheet, apply dry guide coat, then dry sand P400 to P600 before sealing.
6. Storage and handling
Store base and hardener in their original, tightly closed containers in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Shelf life is stated on the label and Certificate of Analysis. Handle and use the product in line with its Safety Data Sheet.
7. Safety and regulatory information
Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Safety Data Sheets and regulatory declarations are issued by our technical centre against the product and batch supplied, so they are sent on request rather than published. Request a Safety Data Sheet or declaration.
