Ten platforms under development
The R&D platforms our laboratory is building proprietary industrial coatings on, and the product each is aimed at.
From research platform to product
These are development programmes, not catalogue items. Each began as a research platform we judged commercially reachable, and each is aimed at a specific product. Timelines differ widely: some are in formulation trial, others are still at the literature and feasibility stage.
We publish them because the customers who benefit most from a new platform are usually the ones who help shape it. If one of these maps onto a problem you already have, the useful conversation happens now rather than at launch.
The ten platforms
| Priority | R&D platform | Target product |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Self-healing | Self-healing anticorrosion epoxy |
| 2 | Self-reporting | Corrosion-indicating coating |
| 3 | PFAS replacement | PFAS-free oil and water repellent |
| 4 | UV and LED | LED-curable industrial coating |
| 5 | Nano-barrier | Nano-enhanced anticorrosion coating |
| 6 | Conductive | EMI and ESD coating |
| 7 | Thermal | Thermal-management coating |
| 8 | Low-temperature powder | Ultra-low-cure powder |
| 9 | Bio-based | Bio-based industrial PU and acrylic |
| 10 | Multifunctional | Self-healing, anticorrosion and hydrophobic in one |
Development status varies by platform and no delivery date is implied. Technical data is issued when a platform reaches qualification.
What each platform is aimed at
Where a platform maps onto a constraint you already have, we would rather hear about it during development than after launch.
Self-healing anticorrosion epoxy
Epoxy barrier carrying nanocontainers, a corrosion inhibitor and a dynamic polymer network, so the film responds to damage instead of waiting for maintenance.
Corrosion-indicating coating
A film whose colour reports substrate condition — sound, initiating, active — turning scheduled inspection into visual inspection.
PFAS-free oil and water repellent
Fluorine-free repellency via modified acrylic, polyurethane hybrid, sol-gel or bio-based hydrophobe chemistry, ahead of the regulatory deadline.
LED-curable industrial coating
LED-optimised photoinitiator package with dual-cure capability, low migration and oxygen tolerance.
Nano-enhanced anticorrosion coating
Platelet nanofillers engineered for a tortuous diffusion path, extending protection without added film build.
EMI and ESD coating
Graphene, CNT and metal-filled systems for shielding, static control and battery enclosures.
Thermal-management coating
Reflective, conductive or barrier thermal behaviour for battery packs, motors and electronics.
Ultra-low-cure powder
Powder chemistry for MDF, plastics, aluminium and heat-sensitive assemblies.
Bio-based industrial PU and acrylic
Renewable-feedstock binders matching petrochemical hardness, gloss and chemical resistance.
Self-healing, anticorrosion and hydrophobic in one
The combined architecture — barrier, reservoir, healing, repellency and sensing in a single system.
Partner on a development programme
Several of these platforms need an industrial trial partner with a real asset and a real failure mode. If that is you, our laboratory in Greater Noida would like to talk.
