Arcstruct FL 230 Self-Levelling Epoxy Floor System

Solvent-free two-pack self-smoothing epoxy for warehouse, assembly and light process floors, poured and spread to a seamless, easily cleaned surface. The build is moderate, so it suits pedestrian and rubber-tyred traffic, and it is supplied with a matched primer, including a moisture-tolerant primer for slabs above the required internal relative humidity.

1. Product description

Solvent-free self-smoothing epoxy for warehouse, assembly and light process floors, poured and spread to a seamless, easily cleaned surface. Because the material finds its own level it reproduces the slab, so any fall to drains is cut into the slab or laid in a trowelled screed beforehand. Build is moderate, so the system suits pedestrian and rubber-tyred traffic rather than steel-wheeled or impact loading. Supplied with a matched primer, including a moisture-tolerant primer for slabs that have not reached the required internal relative humidity.

2. Features

  • Seamless, easily cleaned surface
  • Solvent-free two-pack system
  • Matched primer, with a moisture-tolerant option
  • For pedestrian and rubber-tyred traffic
  • Reproduces the slab level, so falls are formed beforehand

3. Recommended uses

Floors in warehouses, assembly halls and light process areas carrying pedestrian and rubber-tyred traffic. Steel-wheeled traffic and impact loading call for Arcstruct FL 510.

Substrates. Power floated or ground concrete, existing sound resin floors after mechanical preparation, screeds of adequate strength

5. Application

ParameterGuidance
Surface preparationPower floated or ground concrete, shot blasted or diamond ground with laitance removed; sound existing resin floors mechanically prepared. Anchor cuts formed at perimeters, drains and thresholds.
Slab moistureInternal relative humidity below 75 per cent to ASTM F2170, screened to ASTM D4263; the moisture-tolerant primer is used where it is higher.
PrimerMatched Arcstruct FL primer applied and cured before the body coat.
Application methodPoured and spread with a notched trowel or pin rake, then spike rolled to release air.
Thickness1.5 to 3 mm, set by the consumption per square metre.
FallsThe material finds its own level and does not form a fall; falls to drains are cut into the slab or laid in a trowelled screed beforehand.
Conditions and cureSubstrate at least 3 degrees Celsius above the dew point during application and initial cure. Light traffic after 24 to 36 hours and full chemical cure in 7 to 10 days at 25 degrees Celsius, longer when cooler; the floor is not put into chemical service before full cure.

Process. Poured and spread with a notched trowel or pin rake, then spike rolled to release air. Two-pack solvent-free, ambient cure, light traffic after about 24 hours and full chemical cure in about seven days at 25 C. Slab moisture verified to ASTM F2170 before priming, anchor cuts formed at perimeters, drains and thresholds

6. Storage and handling

Store the resin and hardener in the original closed containers under cover, dry and out of direct sun, at 5 to 35 degrees Celsius, and bring them to the working temperature before use. Shelf life is stated on the label and the Certificate of Analysis. Handle and use the product in line with its Safety Data Sheet.

7. Safety and regulatory information

Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Safety Data Sheets and regulatory declarations are issued by our technical centre against the product and batch supplied, so they are sent on request rather than published. Request a Safety Data Sheet or declaration.

This Technical Data Sheet is published for on-screen reference. The information is given in good faith from laboratory and application experience and describes typical values; it is not a specification and does not replace a trial on your own substrate and line.
