Arcvista MO 510 Patterned Optical Effect Coating

A UV curing coating system that lays down a matt and gloss contrast in a fine regular pattern, so that the printed area appears to shift and move as the pack is tilted under a light source. It is specified as a decorative effect, and Arctic makes no authentication or security performance claim for it.

1. Product description

A coating system that lays a matt and gloss contrast down in a fine regular pattern, so that the printed area appears to shift and move as the pack is tilted under a light source. The result depends on the pattern being carried accurately at the cell or screen level and on a clean contrast between the matt and gloss fields, so plate or screen specification is set together with the coating and the pattern pitch and orientation are confirmed by trial. It is specified as a decorative effect, and Arctic makes no authentication or security performance claim for it.

2. Features

  • Fine regular matt and gloss pattern that appears to move as the pack is tilted
  • Plate or screen specification set together with the coating
  • Pattern pitch and orientation confirmed by trial
  • Flexo, screen or coating unit application with a patterned image carrier
  • Decorative effect only; no authentication or security performance claim

3. Recommended uses

Moving optical patterns on folding cartons, cast-coated and laminated board and coated papers, used as a graphic feature of the pack design.

Substrates. Coated folding boxboard, cast-coated board, coated papers and laminated board

Process. Flexo, screen or coating unit with a patterned image carrier, UV cured

6. Storage and handling

Store in the original closed containers in a cool, dry place, protected from daylight, UV light sources, heat and frost. Shelf life is stated on the label and Certificate of Analysis. Handle and use the product in line with its Safety Data Sheet.

7. Safety and regulatory information

Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Safety Data Sheets and regulatory declarations are issued by our technical centre against the product and batch supplied, so they are sent on request rather than published. Request a Safety Data Sheet or declaration.

This Technical Data Sheet is published for on-screen reference. The information is given in good faith from laboratory and application experience and describes typical values; it is not a specification and does not replace a trial on your own substrate and line.
